- The 1.5-hour formula for writing a client's Thread.
The 1.5-hour formula for writing a client's Thread.
Writing client's Thread can be time-consuming sometimes.
Earlier, it took me 3-4 hours to write my client's Thread because I had to focus on a lot of things:
Their niche
Their ideologies
Their writing style
Fear of not liking my writing
But with the right method, I now write my client's Thread in only 1.5 hours.
Here's my whole method:
1. Hook
The best content won't go viral without a good hook.
I always write my hooks using the PAS framework:
Problem - Find a problem you are writing about
Agitate - Twist the knife and make the problem worse
Solution - Then give a solution
Here are some basic formulas I use:
[Goal you achieved] in [Time period] It’s not rocket science – people just don’t know [What don't they know?] Here’s how I’d do it again without getting lucky: | I gained 100,000 followers in a year. But it's no rocket science — people just don't know where to start. Here's how I'd do it again without getting lucky: |
I went from [Past situation] to [New situation} in [Time Period] But [Percentage] of that [Outcome] came from [Action | Activity] So here’s a recap of those [Activity]: | You don’t grow on Twitter based on how many times you tweet. You grow on Twitter based on how well your tweet. I went from 0 to 50K in one year. 14 lessons to grow your Twitter account: |
If you have [Pain Point] And you’re spending your time [Popular activity in your niche] You’re doing it wrong. How I [Outcome] when I had [Past situation] Almost without [Popular activity in your niche]: | If you have less than 1,000 followers. And you’re spending your time writing tweets and threads. You’re doing it wrong. How I grew 35-60 followers per day when I had less than 1,000 followers: Almost without tweeting: |
A lot of people think [Skill | Platform | Topic] is easy. But it’s actually a lot of [List of pain points] Here’s how I [Desired outcome] from [Past situation] to [New desired situation] in [Time Period] | A lot of people think Twitter is easy. But it’s actually a lot of time, energy, hard work, and dedication. Here’s how I grew my following from zero to 650k in just a few years |
2. First draft
It only takes 50 mins to write a first draft.
The only way you can get anything written is to write a really shitty first draft.
Read a thread or listen to a video.
Then, write about it related to that topic, whatever comes to my mind.
While writing, "NEVER" use backspace or correct grammatical mistakes.
Let your ideas flow without worrying about perfection.
3. Editing and Styling
If your Thread isn't easy on the eyes.
Readers won't make it to the end.
Use 1/3/1 technique for formation
White space in between sentences
Check for any grammatical mistakes
Read your article aloud from beginning to end; you will know where you lost as a reader.
Make sure you deliver what you promised to your audience.
4. Visuals and representation
I use 2 types of tools for editing Videos:
The Inshot app, it's super simple and free to use if you want to cut or trim your videos.
Then, I use Canva to add backgrounds to make visuals more representative.
Visuals make your Thread more engaging.
5. Final touch with ChatGPT
ChatGPT is literally a lifesaver for my first drafts.
Earlier, it took me hours to edit my threads, and I am still unsatisfied.
But with the help of ChatGPT and the right prompt. It's a game-changer.
Sample prompt:
"I'm going to give you an article that you have to write as the author "Tim Ferriss," in a more actionable tone.
The reading level must be under 8th grade, and start the sentences with a verb.
Are you ready?"
That's all for today.
