  • The Formula for Writing Triumph.

The Formula for Writing Triumph.

Writing is not magic that can be taught through a course.

You become a good writer by practicing it daily.

Instead of giving tips and tricks, I will explain how to make a writing routine that will eventually make you a better writer.

This comes down to routine and systems.

When I was working at my job, I didn't have a clear system.

I used to write my content on weekends, or sometimes I skipped it.

When you say you're going to do something and you don't do it.

You break a promise to yourself.

That's where you become inconsistent.

Before going into a routine, you have to set a "non-negotiable" window:

  • No matter what, I will write the first draft today

  • No matter what, I will do the editing today

  • No matter what, I will write 15 tweets today

Routines get results.

And if you can't stick to your routine, there is no point reading the rest of the process.

The power of process

Success as a writer is 80% mindset.

The guy who plays the longest wins.

Your routine depends on your goals.

If you build a good routine. The chances of achieving your goals become higher.

  • Set clear objectives for each day

  • Decide what you need to achieve and how much time you have on that day

  • Keep your routine easy and actionable so you can stick to it

You don't rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems.

Building a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

'What will I write today?' is a bad question to ask.

Every job requires a system, if you're constantly switching, you'll waste tonnes of your energy and time.

You need to build a routine 1 week before to avoid chaos.

Just write down your process step by step:

  • Write out the process as you go

  • Repeat the next week and correct mistakes/errors

  • Refine over time (based on what works)

Here's my content plan:

The 90-day sprint

Instead of achieving everything at once, try to accomplish one thing at a time.

"Improving your writing" is a vague goal.

You need to take action to make your goal realistic.

Instead of trying to achieve everything (and getting nowhere), set a clearly defined target and prioritize that.

1. Make your goals numerical.

- I want to improve at writing.

- I will write 30 threads in 90 days.

Play games you can win.

2. Measure the right metric.

- I want to close 2 clients this month.

- I will outreach 1 client every week.

Don't track the cost, track the effort.

3. Decision-making filter

If stuck between two choices, ask: What am I optimizing for?

Save your best ideas into a document.

If it wasn't important, you'd have forgotten

If it was, you've got your next 90-day sprint.

Focus on output, not outcome.

That's all for today.
